After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Dwight Brooks started his motion picture career as an actor with help from James Stewart and Glenn Ford. Acting in over 35 pictures, Dwight worked his way up to leading roles for several years before moving into directing and producing feature films. Director John Ford and Director/Producer Alfred Hitchcock both mentored Dwight as he learned and developed his directing skills. Dwight has a law Degree and a degree in Cinema Fine Arts.
During his career, Mr. Brooks has produced and directed twenty-eight successful feature motion pictures and two Imax Format pictures for Delta Corporation. His television experience as a director and producer consists of over 150 episodes, specials, feature films for television, and 10 television pilots. Mr. Brooks served as executive in charge of production for the Steve McQueen picture "BULLITT." He has received ten awards from the motion picture industry for his outstanding motion picture achievements, as well as numerous other related commendations.
Mr. Brooks is the last known decendant of the Brooks Family, of Justerini & Brooks, LTD., distillers of the famous J & B Scotch.
